Neolith, a pioneer in the creation of sintered stone worldwide with a presence in more than 100 countries, has solidified its status as a sector leader in sustainability by committing to production using natural raw materials. Plus, Neolith surfaces are made of up to 98% recycled raw materials in some models, are recyclable and do not use any added crystalline silica sand in their formulation.

With the aim of offering excellent services all while contributing to the conservation of the planet, Neolith uses the best raw materials, clay and kaolin, which—just like the most exclusive marbles—include a residual silica component as detailed in its product safety data sheet. This positions Neolith as one of the most sustainable products, reaching the lowest level of silica content in the market.

As a result, it produces material with superior technical characteristics as concerns functionality and sustainability to set Neolith apart as a sustainable company that is not only committed to reducing the company’s environmental impact but also looking after society.

And that goes without mentioning the fact that 100% of the electricity used at its production plant comes from renewable sources. All the water used is recycled and more than 96% of its industrial waste is recycled or reused. Neolith is also carbon neutral in all main scopes. Proof of this lies in its recently obtained Bureau Veritas “Zero Waste” Excellent certification and EcoVadis Gold certification, which rank Neolith in the 97th percentile of the industry and corroborate its operation under environmental, social, sustainable procurement, corporate governance and ethics standards of excellence.

Besides implementing environmentally friendly practices in its production processes, Neolith is also working to remain a pioneer in innovation by developing new collections with 0% free crystalline silica in their composition, thus closing the circle encompassing the entire value chain, looking after everyone involved in the material handling and manufacturing process and contributing to the creation of spaces for living.

Companies like Neolith which include environmental conservation and practices with a lower impact on the environment among their main objectives are becoming more and more important and key to achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development goals. Neolith prioritizes sustainability in its processes and materials and, along with several Ibex-35 companies, is part of the UN Global Compact Spain construction and engineering sector working group seeking full integration of sustainability in their operations.
