A contemporary style home designed to enjoy

Warren, New Jersey (U.S.)

A design rooted in harmony and proportion

Project location: 62 Geiger Lane, Warren, Nueva Jersey
Project type: Single-family residence
Neolith materials:

Neolith Pietra Grey and Neolith Basalt Grey

Set in a quiet residential neighborhood of New Jersey, 62 Geiger is the perfect blend of contemporary design and day-to-day practicality. Designed by Dan D’Agostino of Plan Architecture and styled by Loren Unfried of LU+A Associates Interiors, this home showcases a clean, refined aesthetic that flows seamlessly throughout both the exterior and interior.

A facade defined by understated elegance

The home’s exterior embraces a subtle yet striking contrast of white and grey tones, resulting in a visually compelling silhouette. Neolith Pietra Grey in a Silk finish clads both the front and rear facades, bringing depth and sophistication while highlighting the home’s architectural volumes. “We took inspiration from iconic works of modern architecture, like the Barcelona Pavilion,” D’Agostino, principal architect says.

“We wanted Neolith to take center stage in the design, not just blend in with the rest of the house.”

Interior design with character and intention

At the heart of the home lies a monochromatic kitchen anchored by a central island crafted with Neolith Basalt Grey in a Satin finish. “I was aiming for a serene and cohesive atmosphere, but one that still had depth. Playing with tone and texture allowed me to achieve that balance without overwhelming the space,” explains Unfried.

The result is a sophisticated environment where the dark grey adds visual strength while the satin texture brings softness and warmth to the overall look.

“Neolith Basalt Grey delivers an industrial, masculine vibe, while still feeling incredibly refined.”

Functional beauty tailored to everyday living

The choice of Neolith was driven by both aesthetic and practical considerations. “Neolith’s durability and low maintenance made it the ideal choice,” says D’Agostino. “Our clients lead busy lives and needed solutions that wouldn’t demand constant upkeep,” he adds.

Its easy-to-clean surface, resistance to scratches, stains, and moisture, and the ability to install it with a thin-set method, without requiring complex systems, were key benefits. “We chose Neolith over other materials for its exceptional performance and ease of installation,” Unfried points out. “Neolith is known for its lifelike designs and attention to detail. The level of authenticity in its finishes is truly remarkable,” she notes.

Modern inspiration with a sustainable mindset

Sustainability was also a core focus of the project. “Neolith is an eco-conscious choice because it’s made from natural raw materials and is free from resins or plastics,” says Unfried. “Sustainable materials also tend to last longer, which was a key consideration. As awareness around climate change grows, so does the demand for greener design choices,” she explains.

This commitment was also reflected in the collaboration with local fabricators and craftsmen. Neolith streamlined the slab cutting and distribution process, ensuring a smooth and detail-oriented installation from start to finish.

A thoughtful design that brings coherence, intention, and character together

Inspired by pillars of modern architecture, 62 Geiger is a prime example of how design can seamlessly merge emotion, simplicity, and practicality. “We were looking for a material that could offer visual continuity while also meeting our aesthetic and budgetary goals,” concludes D’Agostino.
