Neolith strengthens its presence in Barcelona World Capital of Architecture 2026 as sponsor of the closing celebration of Flearchitecture. Repurposing the Given, an initiative by b720 Arquitectos included in the official program of the capitality.
Installed at Barcelona’s Mercat dels Encants, the project invited reflection on the reuse of what already exists as an architectural strategy. Through a temporary pavilion conceived as another stall within the market, Flearchitecture brought together elements, images, and pieces connected to recovery, rehabilitation, urban regeneration, circularity, and memory, offering a fragmented and diverse perspective on recent architecture in Barcelona and its metropolitan area.

Neolith’s participation in this closing event is part of a particularly significant year for the city, designated World Capital of Architecture in 2026. In this context, the company has supported initiatives that invite reflection on the future of architecture and the role of materials in shaping more conscious, durable spaces that respond to today’s needs.
“Barcelona 2026 is a unique opportunity to share ideas with the architecture community and reflect on the spaces we want to create. For Neolith, being part of this context means continuing to strengthen our connection with industry professionals and highlighting the role of materials in a more conscious, durable, and people-centered approach to architecture,” says Nieves Contreras, Chief Brand Officer at Neolith.
This initiative follows the exclusive gathering for architects hosted by Neolith on June 30 at Hotel Seventy Barcelona, coinciding with the UIA World Congress of Architects 2026, which brought together professionals, researchers, and leading figures from the international architecture community under the theme Becoming. Architectures for a Planet in Transition.
Attended by architects from several countries, the gathering created a space for dialogue and connection with the international architecture community. The choice of Hotel Seventy Barcelona as the venue also reinforced Neolith’s contribution to the city’s architecture, as the building, designed by OAB – Office of Architecture in Barcelona, features a facade made with the brand’s surfaces. This application reflects the material’s ability to respond to the technical and aesthetic demands of high-level architectural projects, where durability, lightness, efficiency, and design freedom are essential.
A consolidated presence in Barcelona’s architecture
Neolith is present in some of the most emblematic projects in Barcelona and its metropolitan area, contributing to different areas of urban architecture: from healthcare infrastructure such as the Moisès Broggi General Hospital in Sant Joan Despí, to internationally renowned culinary spaces such as Enigma, by celebrated chef Albert Adrià and designed by RCR Arquitectes; Disfrutar, named the best restaurant in the world in 2024 after reaching No. 1 on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list; and The Barcelona Edition hotel. In a city internationally recognized for its architectural culture, the company further strengthens its role as a strategic partner for professionals seeking materials capable of adapting to the evolution of contemporary spaces.
Also, within the framework of Barcelona World Capital of Architecture 2026, Neolith has supported initiatives linked to architectural reflection and cultural dissemination, such as the exhibition El viatge dels arquitectes, “el món a la punta del llapis i el pinzell,” organized by Arquitectes per l’Arquitectura and the Fondation Le Corbusier, which took place between March and April at Galería H2O in Barcelona.
Through these initiatives, Neolith consolidates its relationship with the international architecture community and with a city that, in 2026, once again places architecture at the center of the global conversation.
