Neolith has received the 1st Mention for Best Original Design at the XIV Casa Decor Awards 2026 for the 45º modular bookcase designed by PersonalK for its space “Entre superficies y palabras.” The recognition celebrates Neolith’s ability to become part of highly creative interior design projects, delivering solutions that bring together design, innovation, versatility, and a strong architectural sensibility.

The awards ceremony took place at Espacio Larra in Madrid, bringing together leading professionals from the fields of design, architecture, and interior design who took part in this year’s edition of Casa Decor. During the event, the jury presented its awards and mentions for Best Project, Best Original Design, and Best Integrated Product, along with other recognitions related to professional career achievements, public participation, and social commitment. With this distinction, Neolith marks its second recognition at Casa Decor in the last three years, following the First Mention for Best Project received in 2024.

Design and materiality for a new approach to space

“Entre superficies y palabras”, designed by PersonalK for Neolith, offers a contemporary reinterpretation of the library as a place for connection, calm, and evocation. Warm and sensory in nature, the proposal reveals a more intimate perspective on the brand’s surfaces, integrating them into an environment where materiality, light, furniture, and decorative details come together to create an immersive atmosphere.

Within this project, the 45º modular bookcase becomes one of the central design elements. Created with Neolith Himalaya Crystal and Alvic, the structure offers different visual readings throughout the visitor’s journey, where the books gradually disappear while moving through the space, giving way to a full view of the Neolith surface and creating a play of textures, depth, and rhythm.

According to the jury, “the proposal stands out for its ability to turn a library into an element that shapes the experience of the space, thanks to the angled vertical planes that transform the library into an evolving system.” The experts also noted that “its value lies in the way it reduces visual noise and prioritizes the architecture of the whole.”

A recognition of design, innovation, and collaboration

For Andreas Manero, Group Marketing Director at Neolith, “this recognition is a great source of pride for the entire team, as it reflects Neolith’s ability to be part of projects that go beyond material application and become true design experiences. At Casa Decor, our goal was to present a more emotional, warm, and approachable vision of our surfaces, and the work developed together with PersonalK has conveyed that idea with great sensitivity. This award strengthens our position as a strategic partner for architects and interior designers seeking solutions that add aesthetic, functional, and conceptual value to their projects.”

Pilar Alberola and Lucía González-Orús from PersonalK added, “the library was created from the desire to reinterpret a classic element through a contemporary lens, using the material as an active part of the experience. The 45º design allowed us to create a dynamic piece that transforms the perception of the space depending on the visitor’s point of view. Working with Neolith gave us the opportunity to explore new expressive possibilities for its surfaces and create a proposal that combines architecture, emotion, and functionality.”

Neolith was also present in another award-winning space at this edition of Casa Decor. “Dos Latitudes,” the proposal by Tarq Studio, received the Extraordinary Ángeles Barbería Award, a distinction granted to a professional participating in Casa Decor for the first time who has developed an innovative aesthetic proposal with outstanding execution. This recognition further strengthens Neolith’s connection with signature projects that explore new ways of understanding design, materiality, and the spatial experience.

Through these recognitions, Neolith consolidates its presence at Casa Decor as a leading brand in design, architecture, and interior design, reaffirming its commitment to innovation and the creation of distinctive spaces. The company’s participation in this edition once again reflects its ability to inspire new ways of designing, building, and experiencing spaces through high-performance surfaces with a unique aesthetic language.
