Neolith presents ENIGMA, DECODING THE SECRET WORLD OF ALBERT ADRIÀ

Neolith hosted an exclusive event to celebrate the cuisine and design of Albert Adria’s flagship restaurant, Enigma.

The story of Enigma started with Albert Adrià’s vision to create an ‘out of this world and enigmatic’ restaurant that embodied his culinary approach and illustrious career. His vision took shape in 2017 when Pritzker Prize winners RCR Arquitectes and Pau Llimona drew their design idea in watercolours and decided to bring it to life with the help of Neolith.

To mark the occasion a special book, ENIGMA, DECODING THE SECRET WORLD OF ALBERT ADRIÀ, was commissioned and launched, charting a visually astonishing journey into the mystery and intrigue of Enigma, from concept to completion.

The book’s author, Cristina Gimenez adds: “It is unusual to make a book about a restaurant and not talk about cooking, which will surely come as a surprise to some readers. ENIGMA, DECODING THE SECRET WORLD OF ALBERT ADRIÀ, however, is dedicated to the concept of interior space, the disciplines of architecture and design and the originality of the materials that have been used in the execution of this project. Importantly, we wanted to focus especial attention on the ethereal beauty of this extraordinary space."

Neolith chosen as the Sustainable Product by Interiores magazine

For its "quality, excellent understanding of environmental awareness", Neolith has received the Sustainable Product award granted by Interiores magazine. Awards that were born three years ago to recognize the talent, expertise and effort of the best creators, companies and products of the year related to the world of Design and Interior Design.

Neolith is a product that combines aesthetic appeal with sustainability. A 100% natural product made with natural clay, feldspar, silica and mineral oxides.

For its natural composition, Neolith is 100% recyclable. Furthermore, Neolith slabs are made of less raw materials than other product categories because of the thinness meaning it reduces the erosion of the soil where they are found. Neither emit toxic gases into the atmosphere when exposed to fire or extremely high temperatures.

Adding to its sustainable character, a new treatment has been launched for its facades line: Neolith + Pureti. A treatment that makes the facades continuously self-cleaning in addition to reducing the contaminating agents and, thus, improving air quality.

Neolith presents PURETI: an innovative treatment for facades

Neolith has joined the environmental conservation efforts through the market launch of a revolutionary treatment for its SKYLINE facade line: PURETI.

NEOLITH + PURETI: SELF-CLEANING AND SUSTAINABLE FACADES

Pureti treatment is an aqueous and titanium dioxide nanoparticle-based treatment that is sprayed on Neolith to create a photocatalytic, self-cleaning and decontaminating effect, triggering the facades to continuously self-cleaning in addition to reducing the contaminating agents and, thus, improving air quality.

BENEFITS

SELF-CLEANING | facades due to the photocatalytic effect produced.
DECONTAMINATING | as substances that are harmful to the environment are neutralized.
ANTI-BACTERIAL | as bacterial growth is stopped.
ANTI-ODOR | as they completely eliminate bad organic odors.
ANTI-ALLERGEN | as the air we breathe is constantly purified and improved.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Through a process of Photocatalysis and Superhydrophilicity. Click HERE to see the video explaining both processes.
