Enigma by Neolith arrives to The Big Apple

From Barcelona to New York City: Neolith presents Enigma restaurant exhibition with the world-renowned architect Pau Llimona.

Mystery Set in Stone event highlighted the design behind this Michelin-rated experience restaurant, a collaboration of Chef Albert Adrià, Pau Llimona, Pritzker Prize winning RCR Arquitectes, and Neolith.

Neolith, hosted more than 100 architects and designers on June 20th to discover Architect Pau Llimona’s design of the ambitious and ground-breaking Enigma restaurant project in Barcelona. Held at the Manhattan showroom of Neolith distribution partner HG Stones, the Mystery Set in Stone event provided an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how Llimona and Pritzker Prize winning RCR Arquitectes transformed the 7,534-square-foot space into a dreamy atmosphere envisioned by Chef Albert Adrià.

Opened in 2017, the Michelin-rated Enigma restaurant is the brainchild of Adrià. The acclaimed Catalan chef wanted to captivate guests in an immersive environment, with a menu influenced by the surroundings. In order to make that a reality, Adrià commissioned RCR Arquitectes/Pau Llimona to create the design, giving life to a multidisciplinary space with seven distinct rooms and seven different gastronomic experiences through a 40-course tasting menu. RCR drew their design idea in watercolors on paper and teamed up with Neolith to create an exact replica of the green and blue hues onto large format sintered stone slabs—to be applied to the floors, walls, bathrooms, kitchen worktops, cabinetry and air extraction systems.
