ADR’s 30u30 retreat returns with Neolith as a major sponsor

  • The event allowed three days of connection, mentorship, and design-led dialogue in Bali.

The 2025 edition of ADR’s 30u30 retreat, a program from Australian Design Review that recognizes and celebrates young Australian architects and designers, once again brought together the most promising emerging voices in Australia’s architecture and design community for an unforgettable three-day experience set against the lush backdrop of Seminyak, Bali.

Hosted at the sustainable and architecturally designed Potato Head, a beachfront landmark known for its environmental ethos and striking modular design, the retreat delivered an inspiring program that balanced thoughtful mentorship with genuine moments of connection.

With a curated mix of sessions led by industry mentors, leading sponsors and returning alumni, attendees were encouraged to reflect, engage, and expand their vision for the future of design. Mornings began with guided conversations and insights from established leaders in the field, while afternoons gave way to hands-on workshops and small group mentorship, all designed to spark meaningful growth and new ideas.

As the sun set each evening, the group gathered for networking dinners and relaxed discussions, offering the perfect setting for peer-to-peer connection and shared storytelling. With the tranquil energy of Bali as a backdrop, the retreat fostered the kind of collaboration that goes beyond professional development, it built community.

Now in its third year as major sponsor, Neolith is proud to support this next generation of creatives. As advocate for innovation and integrity in design, the brand recognises the value of initiatives like ADR’s 30u30, which continue to push the industry forward by investing in its future leaders.
